For the folks looking for a short drive closer to the city, Al Qudra is the perfect spot to head to. Although less remote than some of the other spots, it offers excellent views of an uninterrupted sky with enough distance from the city to curb the light pollution for a clear picture. It's a regular spot for Dubai Astronomy&rsquo;s stargazing events, so there will be plenty of spots perfect for the night. Ahead of the lakes, find quieter stretches of sand to set up your station. A telescope or binoculars can enhance your viewing, but they&rsquo;re not essential.

This is one for the hardcore gazers, so be sure to prep well before you go, as mobile signal can be very weak to nonexistent.
