Experts have reported that the cables under the Red Sea were cut, and the appraised fix could take "up to six weeks," and users will continue to experience slow Kbps rates until then. Though there is a silver lining to the incident, according to Yasser Saied, Consulting Systems Engineer at cybersecurity company Palo Alto, the fibre cables, which are expected to be damaged by nature and need repair every 5 to 10 years, will be replaced with newer cables that will be resistant to any decay or destruction for a longer period.</span></p>
