<p style="line-height: 2;"><span style="font-family: 'Avenir Medium';">The Dubai-based Vinyl Souk's newest edition of its popular Mini Festival series, took place at the 25Hours Hotel One Central for an eclectic day of music on 1 February. The event served up a sprawling showcase for the region's alternative arts scene, bringing together a roster of regional stars and emerging talent. Sponsered by Jameson Irish Whiskey, this edition of the Mini Festival was one to remember with Jameson taking over the bars and stages. Transforming the venue into a multipurpose playground, the day-long gathering was filled with live music, talks, vinyl digging opportunities, and more, all blended into an immersive program designed to showcase the Gulf&rsquo;s growing alternative scenes and the cultures orbiting around them.</span></p>

<p style="line-height: 2;"><span style="font-family: 'Avenir Medium';">An exciting evening of fun, music and energy was split across six spaces including Nomad Day Bar, Monkey Bar and the iconic Cinema Akil, encouraging movement between dancefloors, listening rooms, talks and live performances. With the program aiming to showcase the city's creative scene, the third edition of Vinyl Souks's Mini Festival was a spectacular feat.</span></p>

<h2 style="line-height: 2;"><span style="font-family: 'Avenir Medium';"><strong>Music was in the air!</strong></span></h2>
<p style="line-height: 2;"><span style="font-family: 'Avenir Medium';">The line-up offered a massive musical stylistic range, ranging from the sophisticated electronic production of Egypt&rsquo;s <em>Hassan Abou Alam</em>, to the soulful, indie-inflected melodies of <em>Esther Eden</em> and the border-crossing sounds of Lebanese acts like <em>Postcards, Snakeskin</em>, and <em>Karen Sakr.</em></span></p>

<p style="line-height: 2;"><span style="font-family: 'Avenir Medium';">The festival&rsquo;s collaborative spirit manifested in takeovers from collectives including the <em>Feedasoul Records</em> family with <em>JAZ, PATCH</em>, and <em>Koba Maru</em> leading the charge. International presence comes in the form of <em>Vik Sohonie</em> of Ostinato Records, while the regional flavour is maintained by Bahrain&rsquo;s <em>DUST</em> and the UAE&rsquo;s own <em>Somalie</em>, <em>Elijah Semine</em>, and <em>Kinda</em>.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p style="line-height: 2;"><span style="font-family: 'Avenir Medium';"> DMC Middle East (Disco Mix Club) hosted a special showcase and workshop, where attendees were able to explore a colourful marketplace of record pop-ups and music vendors. With many more fun stations including the Jameson Green Sofa Stages and the bar, all in shades of the atmospheric neon green, making every corner of the space feel immersive and ambient.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p style="line-height: 2;"><span style="font-family: 'Avenir Medium';">This year's Mini Festival was a blast for a special few, with lucky prize winners taking home a limited edition Jameson Vinyl player. Moreover, attendees walked away with special Jameson tote bags and random vinyls, with a lucky few winning their favorite tunes for a fun night out.</span></p>
