SCREENX AT REEL CINEMA, DUBAI MALL

The world of cinema and the experiences that it provides has been evolving at such an exponential rate that it is sometimes hard to keep up. With each major new release that hits the box office it seems to break new boundaries, be it filming techniques, equipment breakthroughs or simply new approaches to acting, the world of film is as exciting now as it has ever been. 
 
There has now been a major development in the movie going stakes too. First there was 3D, then there was 4D which included moving chairs and added FX, now comes the world’s first multi projector screens – ScreenX. This offers the viewer a staggering 270 degree worth of immersive action. Previously, the side walls to the auditorium were fairly redundant, now they are transformed in to an extension of what is going on on-screen. 
 
Currently debuting at Reel Cinemaat Dubai Mall, the first movie to be given the ScreenX treatment is super shark flick The Meg. So, imagine the underwater scenes, but together with the pin point accurate sound system and super wide screen the movie will actually take you in to the underwater scenes as if you were actually there. We won’t spoil the movie for you or the experience for that matter, but this movie as well as the mind-blowing trailer before the movie began gives just a glimpse of what this format is capable of. This movie in ScreenX format is only showing for a limited time so make sure you grab your seats and popcorn, but make sure you don’t bite off more than you can chew.
