A1 and Music Travel Love to Share the Stage in Dubai for the First Time

<h3 style="line-height: 2;">Hosted largely off-screen by rapper and entertainer LL Cool J, the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards show was held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 7th. Lady Gaga breezed into the show with 12 nominations, while Sabrina Carpenter came through with 8, and Ariana Grande won BIG with the video of the year and 2 more awards!</h3>

A dominantly female-led awards stage, the 2025 MTV AMAs put the most beloved female artists front and center through the night! The incredible artists that took to the stage and gave their best performances included Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Conan Gray, Katseye, Lady Gaga, the one and only Mariah Carey, and even more!

The 41st MTV VMAs was a star-studded event as always, although a few familiar faces left a noticeable space on the red carpet. Awards show darlings Beyonc&eacute; and Taylor Swift did not attend the show, and neither did Bad Bunny nor Kendrick Lamar. However, this was Gaga's big night! She took home 4 of her 12 nominations, bringing her to no. 3 on the all-time ranking list, with only Swift and Beyonc&eacute; ahead of her with 30 awards each. This included the coveted artist of the year awards! Ariana Grande also had a shining moment as she won, among her 3 awards, the night's big award for best video for Brighter Days Ahead.&nbsp;

<h3 style="line-height: 2;">An unforgettable moment that touched the hearts of all music fans was the powerful tribute for the late Ozzy Osbourne by rock icons Aerosmith, Yungblud &amp; Nuno Bettencourt.&nbsp;</h3>

<h3 style="line-height: 2;">Everyone's favorite catchy pop single of the year was also a winner for the night! Blackpink's Ros&eacute; &amp; Bruno Mars' &ldquo;APT.&rdquo; took home the Song of the Year title. </h3>

But there's no MTV without some drama; this year K-pop fans debated on Lisa&rsquo;s &lsquo;Born Again&rsquo; with Doja Cat and Raye's win of the Best K-Pop category. The fully English song raised the question of whether it fits in the K-pop category, as neither the singers nor the song include Korean elements. However, the Thai pop star undoubtedly set herself as an awards show princess, as this marks her third win in the category in four years.&nbsp;

<h3 style="line-height: 2;">Another iconic moment that had the whole show gasping was Mariah Carey's first-ever MTV VMA win for the best R&amp;B video for "Type Dangerous" and another, the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award! Coming hot off the stage after her performance, she cheekily called out the network for the long-awaited award, saying, "What in the Sam Hill were you waiting for? I'm kidding, I love you, MTV."</h3>

Her performance set marked Carey's first time presenting or performing at the VMAs in 20 years, according to MTV.
