Save the date for Art Dubai 2025: a celebration of creativity and culture!

 

 

Art must be recognized, celebrated, and honored. Dubai always takes the initiative to do so, which is why the most significant international art fair in the Middle East – Art Dubai 2025 is returning to Madinat Jumeirah from 17-20 April.

 

This year’s edition of Art Dubai brings together a diverse collection of galleries, showcasing the very best in cutting-edge contemporary, modern and digital art from across the region, and beyond. 

 

 

 

 

The line-up this year showcases the geographic breadth that is core to Art Dubai’s DNA as a place of discovery. 

 

Across four sections of the fair, Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba, and Art Dubai Digital, more than 120 gallery presentations from over 60 cities across five continent will spotlight the current and evolving artistic practices, artists and artworks that reflect the multi-faceted identity of the UAE and its cross-cultural conversations with the rest of the world. Art Dubai’s Artistic Director, Pablo Del Val, highlights the featured solo and duo presentations and first-time exhibitors like Pedro Cera (Lisbon/Madrid), Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art (Lisbon), and Bortolami (New York).

 

 

 

 

This year's programme explores transformation, liberation and the interplay between humanity and materials.

 

Héctor Zamora, a renowned Mexican artist, will showcase sculptural works and performative group actions involving terracotta objects, exploring the symbolic and material significance of clay vessels and their ritualistic dimensions. Meanwhile, Ania Soliman, will explore the intersection of technology, nature, and memory with her piece titled Kahrabaa’, Arabic for ‘electricity’, reflecting the UAE’s balance between traditional and ecological knowledge and hyper-modern infrastructure.

 

 

 

 

Bawwaba preview with section curator Mirjam Varadinis: 10 solo presentations by artists from 10 countries, spanning five continents.

 

This selection of artists and their creation reflect on our relation with the planet, other species and how we deal with our resources, imagining a new models of coexistence. Meanwhile, the Art Dubai Modern section, headed by Curators Dr. Nada Shabout and Magalí Arriola, uncovers lesser known artists and connections that traverse these two sides of the southern hemisphere of Latin America and West Asia and North Africa, thier regional area of expertise respectively.

 

 

 

 

 

The A.R.M. Holding Children’s Programme, bringing together artists and designers to closely collaborate with local schools will, for the first time, feature a unique collaboration between two artists: Peju Alatise, an internationally renowned artist, and Alia Hussain Lootah, an Emirati artist and educator.

 

 

 

 

Their extensive talks and conference programme will bring together a diverse range of experts from Modern Arab scholars to international artists.

 

Inviting innovators and some of the world’s brightest creative minds, including the artists, curators, technologists and thinkers who are shaping the future of the creative industries. 

 

 

 

 

Major new digital artworks by Ouchhh Studio, Breakfast, Jacopo Di Cera, and Hybrid Xperience will debut at Art Dubai.

 

Art Dubai Digital 2025 is curated by Gonzalo Herrero Delicado, Project Curator for Serpentine, and the digital artworks debut will see a series of works exploring how human-made creations can divert our attention from pressing environmental, social, and cultural issues. His curatorial framework for 2025 is titled ‘After the Technological Sublime’, it presents artists working at the cutting edge of technology, with a focus on artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality and the critical questions it raises about our present.

 

 

 

 

Julius Baer announced a new digital commission by prominent Emirati artist Mohammed Kazem to debut at Art Dubai 2025.

 

Housed at the Julius Baer Lounge at Art Dubai, the new immersive work is titled ‘Directions (Merging)’ and draws on the interconnectedness of people, diverse cultures, and perspectives, serving as a powerful analogy for the city of Dubai.

 

 

 

 

Art Dubai After Dark, the official after dark party programe retrurns with a spotlight at diverse mix of disco, funk, and world dance music.

 

After each day, The Art Bar, located on Fort Island is transformed into a night of music and dance. The programme showcases some of the best up-and-coming DJs from around the world and locally, delivering great vibes throughout the night. 

 

 

 

 

With over 20 galleries exhibiting at Art Dubai for the first time in 2025, visitors can look forward to meeting established and emerging artists from all over the world. Stay tuned for the tickets release date to be annouced soon and don't miss out on the artistic event of the year!
