will.i.am is coming to Dubai this October the 4th to headline the 2nd edition of SLS Dubai's spectacular "Taste of SLS" concept party with this year's theme being "Sounds Around the World"! There's just so much to get excited about and we're here to walk you through the inner-workings of this journey we're about to embark on in what would be one of the hottest nights in town.

 

SLS Dubai, Business Bay’s iconic 75-storey hotel, is thrilled to announce the second edition of its show-stopping event, Taste of SLS. Following last year’s sensational debut, this year’s extravaganza is set to elevate the experience, blending the sounds, sights, and flavours of the world into one unforgettable night.

 

 

 

 

Immerse yourself in a multicultural celebration where travel, music, and culinary delights come together to create an electrifying atmosphere at SLS Dubai. Let's take a look at the mind-blowing itinerary carefully curated within the many prestigious venues at the hotel- the when, where, who & what! Of course with will.i.am taking us by a sonic storm with his music wizardry.

 

This year’s theme, “Sounds Around the World,” invites guests to embark on a global journey, all without having to leave Dubai. With none other than global music entertainer and tech entrepreneur will.i.am headlining the night, Taste of SLS will take place on Friday, 4 October, from 7PM until late, promising to be the hottest night in town.

 

 

 

 

Guests will begin their journey with drinks at the SLS Terminal at EllaMia on the ground floor, before ascending to the 71st floor and enter the Sky Lobby where they will find themselves transported to the icy landscapes of Antarctica.

 

Upon arrival, they’ll break the ice in an ethereal atmosphere illuminated by a serene, polar glow, and witness a fascinating live cutting show of a 120kg bluefin tuna. The enchanting sounds of a violinist will fill the air as guests enjoy iced drinks served by the elegant “Frozen Queen,” all while DJ Rodge ignites the crowd with his dynamic beats.

 

 

 

Next, visitors can descend to Europe, specifically, the sun-kissed shores of southern Italy at Fi’lia on level 70.

 

Here, the charm of the Italian Riviera is set to come alive as guests delight in an Amalfi Spritz welcome drink and indulge in a culinary showcase that spans three generations. Watch as Nonna, Mamma, and Fi’lia herself prepare and serve traditional Italian favourites such as bruschetta, fresh pastas, and the infamous Filiamisu, while live singers serenade guests with Italian classics.

 

 

 

 

As the crowd reaches cruising altitude on level 74, guests will find themselves at the next stop in the heart of South America. Smoke & Mirrors, SLS Dubai’s mysterious speakeasy and cigar lounge.

 

They will capture the vibrant spirit of the continent, where the rhythms of salsa will echo and freshly rolled cigars will add a touch of sophistication. Guests can dance the night away with live performances, a DJ, and a drummer, as they indulge in a selection of elevated bites and sip exquisite drinks from the venue’s signature beverage menu.

 

 

 

 

On level 74, guests are also invited to embark on an Arabian Night adventure that promises to delight. Guests will be greeted by the mesmerising rhythms of belly dancers and a live DJ - setting the perfect tone for the evening. A henna master will be on hand to add an artistic touch, while guests savour Arabic delicacies that showcase the rich flavours of the region. The highlight of the evening will be a surprise live performance by a famed Lebanese superstar, whose music is sure to captivate the hearts of all in attendance.

 

Business Class passengers can then roam freely to Carna, the contemporary steakhouse, to re-discover the romantic allure of Italy, this time in Venice.

 

In this intimate setting, the mystery and splendour of Venetian Carnival will be reflected in a sumptuous nose-to-tail set menu crafted by the legendary butcher Dario Cecchini. Here, they can savour the flavours of Italy’s finest cuts, paired with a Negroni fountain and artisanal bread selections.

 

 

 

 

Finally, at Privilege perched on the 75^th floor, the night will conclude in an unforgettable party. The rooftop venue is set to be transformed into a LED-lit paradise, complete with palm trees, and all the glitz and glamour of Miami.

 

Set against the stunning backdrop of Dubai’s skyline, partygoers can dance under the stars with exhilarating performances and the main headline act himself, will.i.am after midnight.
