Gims, whose real name is Gandhi Djuna, is a French-Congolese rapper, singer, and songwriter. He was born on May 6, 1986, in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) and raised in France. Gims first gained fame as a member of the rap group Sexion d'Assaut before launching a successful solo career.
