The new and upcoming Modern Turkish restaurant in Dubai didn't disappoint, with this eclectic ambience, modern dining experience and elegant drinks, Hayal did more than just satisfy our tastebuds! Derived from the word 'day-dream', this dining destination offers Dubai's diners just that!
Walking into the St. Regis Downtown Dubai, we emerged through the doors of Hayal Dubai and were met with elegant service from the hosts. Walking past the bustling kitchen service, we were seated in the chic booths with a direct visage of the chefs creating Turkish masterpieces.
The new Dubai restaurant boasts panoramic views of the Dubai skyline and was adorned with pops of colour, Turkish artworks, and artistic elements that make you effortlessly transport your senses to Istanbul. Our host, Burak, uplifted our experience with charisma as he suggested the signature dishes to indulge in at the restaurant.
Cocktail lovers, take notes! Hayal's 'Sakla Beni' signature cocktail stole our hearts, infused with London dry gin and blackberry... served in true style. If you are an avid fan of Tequila, make sure to check out the L'Air de Panache. This chic number was mixed with hibiscus, grand Marnier and lime... those citrus notes hit the sweet spot!
From the mind of a culinary expert, Robert Segura, we were told to expect succulent cuts of meat, artistic dish presentations and decadent Turkish desserts... that truly reflect the extravagance of Hayal, and that was exactly what we got!
Our luxurious dining affair kicked off with impeccably plated dishes. The must-try 'BITES' at Hayal are the Courgette Croquette, made with lor mousse, and walnut and drenched with garlic dip. Meat-eaters can indulge in the amazing wagyu beef tartare. Filled with rice, lemon and raspberries, opt for the Stuffed Grape Leaves. The Dibba Bay Oysters are a must-try at Hayal, drizzled in pickle juice and cucumber foam, foodies can taste the true flavours of the ocean with every bite. For the perfect side dish, the Potato Harra is the way to go.
If you are truly looking to feast on Turkish cuisine in Dubai, opt for these signature dishes! Reach out for the Slow Braised Lamb Shank, and the 50-hour Slow Braised Short Rib. Craving lavish seafood? The stunning presentation of the Grilled Octopus will make your mouth water! After the feast, end things off with a sweet note with the exceptional flaky baklava, served in a truly artistic Robert Segura-style plating with raspberry ice cream.
