Golden Globe Awards 2016, presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, January 10.

The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards entertained the audience, watching from all over the globe, with shocks, surprises, many new faces and unexpected gossip material.

The survivalist drama, The Revenant, was one of the outstanding winners of the night; with top three Golden Globe statues. The star Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his golden prize for best actor in a drama.

The of Mexican film director Alejandro Inarritu received the 'Award for Best Director' in the Drama Category for The Revenant, commenting: "This has been the most difficult journey I have embarked upon," said Inarritu, receiving his award. "But we all, in this room, know pain is temporary - but a film is forever. So who cares?"

The Martian, the science fiction thriller, was honored comically in the comedy category. Matt Damon won 'Best Actor in a Comedy' statue for his work as an astronaut stranded on Mars.

Beautiful actress Brie Larson won a golden statue for her work in the drama film Room.

Jennifer Lawrence was a well-deserved winner of 'Best Performance By Actress' in the comedy Joy, playing a single mother working her way up as a successful businesswoman.

One of the major gossips happened to be about Leo DiCaprio and Lady Gaga. Gaga accidentally bumped into Leo�s chair while walking to the scene to receive her price for 'Best Actress as Countess' in American Horror Story: Hotel. Gaga, by mistake, knocked Leo's arm, causing him to answer with a cheeky face behind her back. The incident caused major publicity and Leo ended up apologizing for the roasting.
