REVIEW: THE SUMMER FLAVORS AT KHYBER, THE AWARD-WINNING INDIAN RESTAURANT IN DUBAI
Indian foodies, this menu is 10/10.
Our foodie cravings for rich, South-Asian cuisine kicked up a notch as we made our way through the busy roads of Palm Jumeirah. Onwards facing Dukes The Palm, The Royal Hideaway Hotel, we walked into the Indian restaurant with our senses perked and our tastebuds ripe with anticipation.
At this Palm Jumeirah restaurant in Dubai, meat lovers can opt for the Chefs signature menu for AED 200. A price well worth it for the deliciousness you are about to encounter! Make sure you are seated at the end of the restaurant, by the large windows that boast the stunning view of the Palm! A sight for sore eyes!
You will start off your Indian culinary journey at Khyber with an Amuse Bouche: the Gol Gappa which is a crispy puff stuffed with flavourful potato and chickpea mix, accompanied by a shot of tangy water. And just like that, the culinary journey has begun.
With this rich menu, it is only right to pair the rich and flavourful menu with a large glass of Mango Lassi, no regrets there! Alternatively, for those looking for something less sweet, a glass of white would suffice.
It is time to dive in! Get your tastebuds ready for the Chef's signature menu that starts off with a colourful plate of Nimbu Jhinga or yoghurt marinated prawn, a tender Murgh Tikka Abeer or Juicy chicken cubes marinated with Kashmir chilli as well as a fantastic Chapli Kebab, a delicious fried lamb patty. The starter plate was a brilliant way to start off this menu at Khyber.
For the main course at this Indian restaurant in Dubai, expect dishes to blow you away!
Accompanied with Jeera Rice and Assorted Bread, Indian foodies in Dubai can look forward to flavourful dishes such as the Goan Fish curry: a Classic dish from goa, fish cube, and ground spices tamarind, and coconut sauce. Meat lovers can indulge with the Khyber Butter Chicken, a Khyber speciality boneless tandoori chicken, and Mildly spiced tomato sauce. Follow this with the Laal Maas: Those looking for a spicy kick, get ready for the traditional Rajasthani spicy lamb, Mathania chilli and hand-pounded spices. Don't forget to tuck into the Methi Chaman: Fresh Cottage cheese, fenugreek leaves, spinach, Dal Makhani: Black lentils, rajma, cream, butter, tomato purée.
Our favourite dish from the main course at Khyber was the Rajasthani spicy lamb! This unlimited main course dish was packed with flavour that transported you to Northern India! Foodies in Dubai, this is definitely a must-try dish!
We satisfied our sweet tooth with the classic Indian desserts in Dubai with the classic dish, the Gulab Jamun: Golden dumplings, rosewater & sugar syrup, as well as a Matka Kulfi. What are you waiting for, foodies? This is where you will find authentic Indian dishes in Dubai.
