Dubai welcomes the new year with a variety of musical extravaganzas. Get ready for a four-weekend-long fest at DIFC where international, Grammy-nominated headliners will be taking center stage and wooing the crowd with their soulful music!
Held in collaboration with Jass Lounge and sponsored by ICD Brookfield Place, the live performances for the third edition of Jazz Avenue by internationally renowned jazz musicians will take place at Gate Avenue 1, (Podium Level), every Friday and Saturday from the 31st of January to the 22nd of February.
The latest edition of Jazz Avenue and the line-up of award-winning artists follows the success of the previous two events that drew huge crowds to the chic venue.
Complemented with food and beverages from DIFC’s finest restaurants including Love Vibe, Bite Me and Lulu & The Beanstalk, guests can experience four weekends of soulful music, reflecting the vibrancy of DIFC as the city’s finest cultural hotspot. With a capacity to host 300 people per day, table bookings for 2, 4, 6, and 8 people at Jazz Avenue are available for AED175 per person for General Seating and AED225 per person for VIP bookings.
Starting with the magical fusion of Afro-Cuban tunes with the energy of jazz music, the venue is set to transform into another dimension, making sure that every weekend has something special that you cannot miss!
The first weekend, from January 31st to February 1st, will see Dayme Arocena, known to bridge tradition and modernity through her art, perform her soulful vocals and innovative fusion of Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz, and contemporary styles. With a Latin Grammy nomination for Song of the Year for her 2024 album Alkemi, she is an award-winning ambassador of Cuban music and culture!
For the second weekend, prepare to be mesmerized by an opening act before the audience gets entirely immersed in the beauty of Brazilian melodies.
On February 7th and 8th, acclaimed Brazilian singer and composer Vanessa Moreno takes center stage along with celebrated jazz singer Emma Smith for two nights of impeccable delight. Moreno's innovative vocals and rhythmic improvisations, paired with Smith's talents which made her a finalist in the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival Competition, will be the force that drives the second weekend of Jazz Avenue.
The following Fridays and Saturdays will also prove to be valuable entries to this celebration of jazz, concluding the third edition of Jazz Avenue with pomp and magnificence!
Legendary British songwriter and soul singer Omar Lye-Fook MBE, known for the timeless hit There’s Nothing Like This (1991) will be in focus on the third weekend, the 14th & 15th of February. As a pioneer in neo-soul, his rich musical legacy leaves a blend of soul, jazz, and funk with global acclaim. The final weekend will have Grammy-nominated singer Jazzmeia Horn showcasing her powerful vocal range and innovative interpretation of jazz. Prepare for a grand climax on the 21st & 22nd of February as this multi-award-winning musician’s voice takes over the night and ends it on a high note.
