Talk about a beach experience completely upgraded and enhanced; this is at the core of the soon-to-launch Careem Beach campaign whose purpose, in short, is to enable beach delivery services for those unfortunate times you might run out of a necessity, or simply a snack, under the sun. Let's see what the buzz is about!
So if you're having one of those usual hangouts at Dubai's most popular beaches, rest assured that in 2025, that experience will be backed by the highly-influential delivery platform, the Careem app. Now, how will the delivery guy find you?
Now you can have your own address location on the sandy shores! Careem Beach will offer deliveries to your precise locations on the beach through GPS-enabled umbrellas.
You'll be able to acquire those by unlocking them from docking stations near the beach. Let's watch the everything app's promo about this:
Pretty straightforward technology right here, the umbrellas are unlocked by scanning a QR code through the Careem app; orders include food, snacks and more while being conveniently located at your beach spot!
Make sure to safely return the umbrella back to the station once you're all done.
Glaucco Martines, Creative Director and visionary behind Careem Beach, shared: Every beach season, we eagerly want to make the most of our limited time by the sea, but we’re often reminded of the hassles involved. It’s a broken experience.

Tom Sword, Senior Director of Brand at Careem, said: This really steps beyond a standard campaign, with the creation of a new pillar of our delivery business – identifying a true pain point in the current beach going experience, and leveraging our tech and platform to solve it. It is the kind of work I believe represents the value of in-house agency thinking – where the proximity to the business itself allows for ideas that shape the very core of the service, rather than just wrapping it up in pretty pictures.
