We had the absolute pleasure of having an insightful, funny as hell and exciting talk with Eicca Toppinen; Founder of Apocalyptica. Oh yes, this is a conversation you really want to get on board of!
First things first, they are debuting their 2024 World Tour in Dubai on September the 13th at The Agenda in Dubai Media City!
The excitement is real as this is Apocalyptica's first performance ever in Dubai and to top up how special an occasion this is, they will be performing their highly-acclaimed recently-released new album "Plays Metallica Vol.2"! Dubai's music and Metal scenes are about to be Cello-struck and we cannot wait to watch this one-of-a-kind performance.
“We just loved Metallica and we wanted to play it with the instruments we were able to play, which just happened to be cellos,” says Eicca. These are words written in stone in the foundation of the band. They are now in fact touring in support of the follow-up to their legendary debut record "Plays Metallica By Four Cellos" released in 1996 with the "Plays Metallica Vol. 2" Tour 2024. These are legendary moments in the making and Dubai gets to be part of this history!
Apocalyptica's unique and carefully crafted interpretations of Metallica's biggest hits have enthralled fans, and the Dubai leg is part of their broader European Tour. This is a show you DO NOT want to miss! Oh and if you haven't watched "One" yet with James Hetfield on narration, we advise you to rush to Apocalyptica's YT channel.

Apocalyptica headlined a show back in homeland Finland, one day after the release of the new album, on June the 8th & this performance by the Cello-Metallers was crowned as a celebration of the "Plays Metallica Vol. 2" release. With that, the anticipation of the Dubai debut concert grows massively!
September the 13th's concert promises an unforgettable night for Metallica and Apocalyptica fans alike, continuing the journey that began in 1996 with countless shows to their name; these classically-minded dynamos are returning to their roots, bringing a legendary story full circle.
