Alright Dubai, you might want to check for those dirndl and lederhosen in your closet as we step into the exciting world of Oktoberfest! Barasti brings you a precious, loud, energetic piece of Germany into the heart of our city, at your favorite beach bar escape! What's on the menu? nothing short of prost-worthy moments set on a background of the liveliest entertainment, most delicous - iconic grub and all the pints you can down.
This year, Barasti Beach Bar promises to bring the biggest, boldest and beer-iest prost-worthy party to the city with big steins of beer, platters of various German wursts and a loud oompah band blowing brass like they don’t give a schnitzel!
Mark your calendars as the fest spans from Saturday the 21st of September to Sunday the 6th of October, where Barasti's sprawling summer tent will be transformed into an all-singing, all-dancing beer fest with long tables and bunting while guests enjoy Bavarian-inspired eats and plenty of German beer! Up for the challenge?
Chances are you'll be dancing on the tables to classic Oktoberfest tunes. And as we are all about preserving tradition, Barasti will kick off the Oktoberfest in Dubai with the ceremonial tapping of the keg, at 8PM on the 21st of September!
Bring your appetite to savor the Oktoberfest-style dishes, that'll be washed down with beer towers, Jaeger bombs, steins and spirit bottle promotions (because that's what the festive spirit feels like), as you tap and dance to the best Oktoberfest classics performed live by Austrian band Trio Megamix.
With a special menu available throughout, try the Käse Spätzle, traditional German comfort food made with tender egg noodles smothered in a melted cheese sauce or the Obatzda & Pretzel - a cheesy, creamy delight with a side of homemade pretzel that'll have your taste buds yodelling. Want to be more adventurous? Then you must try the Currywurst – a roasted German bratwurst meets a sweet and sour tomato with curry sauce for a flavour-explosion.
Make sure to try the Bratwurst or Berner Würstel - grilled German sausages with all the sides including homemade bread rolls, German mustard and grated horseradish. And to quench another kind of appetite, for the sweet-tooth and aligning with the spirit of traditions too; there can't be an Oktoberfest without Barasti's Apfel Strudel’s – the famous apple and cinnamon baked in puff pastry with your choice of vanilla sauce, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.
It's going to be one heck of a beer-soaked, bratwurst-filled and belly-laughing good time!
