Met Gala 2024 | Fashion's biggest night: the Red Carpet looks

 

 

All eyes on the Met Gala's iconic red carpet as the world's elite actors, singers, athletes & artists bring their looks to life at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan.

 

As tradition wills, every first Monday of May of each year, this most prestigious & glamorous fashion fundraiser held for the benefit of the Costume Institute of the Museum takes place and Vogue puts on a theme that is so groundbreaking, it makes us itch to see what the very exclusive attendees will wear. Like their reputation is on the line, no doubt.

There's no place for mistakes on this runway - with entry tickets/per guest risen to US$75000 in 2024, celebrities spread their feathers like their life depends on it. Now that we jogged your memory with the ABCs of this event, let's move on to the theme and the looks of this year's Met Gala.

 

2024 dress code? A-listers were invited to wear garments based on the "Garden of Time" theme, inspired by the same-titled 1962 short story by JG Ballard. Florals, sand, branches, everything in between and the nothing-to-do with it, was all there!

Which celebrities made the fans mourn their absence at this year's Met Gala? 

The biggest names in the music industry were a no-show as fans had hoped they would make their appearances in the 2024 edition, we're talking about Taylor Swift, Beyoncé & Rihanna. Red carpet queens Blake Lively and Kate Moss were also terribly missed this year.
