Dubai’s Extensive Traffic and Security Plan for New Year's Eve

In anticipation of the New Year's Eve festivities, Dubai has announced a detailed traffic management and security strategy. Over 11,972 personnel, encompassing police and civil defence forces will be deployed to ensure the smooth progression of the celebrations. The city will host magnificent fireworks displays at 32 key locations, including the iconic Burj Khalifa and The Beach.

To facilitate this, significant road closures in Downtown Dubai will commence from 4:00 pm. However, public transport systems will operate for extended hours to accommodate revelers. Additional parking spaces and shuttle services have been arranged, and new security protocols have been established to enhance operational efficiency. Moreover, Dubai Municipality has prepared a thorough plan covering health, safety, and waste management aspects for the event.

Road Closures:

- Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard will be inaccessible from 4:00 pm on December 31. Those with reservations in the area are advised to arrive before this time.

Directional Signage and Traffic Management:

- Directional signs will guide pedestrians in the Burj Khalifa area, with traffic signals on key roads being monitored and controlled for smooth flow.
