Grimes on dating Elon Musk: ‘Best Internship Ever’
‘He’s challenged me a lot,’ the Canadian singer says.
In a conversation with Wired, Claire Elise Boucher, renowned as Grimes, shared that her partnership with the father of her two children could be likened to be the “best internship ever” emphasizing how she gained invaluable insights from the billionaire.
“I learned from him, like, the best internship ever. People don’t like talking about Elon, but it was incredible to be right there watching all that SpaceX stuff happen. That’s a master class in leadership and engineering and makes you understand how rare it is to have a leader of that quality,” she stated to the publication.
Grimes delved deeper into Musk's approach to management and his acquisition of X, previously known as Twitter, in 2022. She conveyed a profound admiration for his unwavering commitment to such a monumental endeavor.
“He’s challenged me a lot,” Grimes remarked. “I learned a lot about running my own team and my own life. I’m now way tougher and smarter than I used to be.”
Even after their separation, Musk and Grimes maintain an amicable relationship. When they parted ways, Grimes expressed that Musk remains “my best friend and the love of my life”.
When questioned about what Musk had learned from her, she playfully remarked, “Maybe to have more fun. I try to soften him up, to build family culture. And he steals a lot of my memes.”
