Casa De Tapas Dubai appoints new Chef de Cuisine!

Spanish National Juan Ramon Sobero Llaca has over 8 years-experience working as a Chef de Cuisine in a number of well known restaurants in 3 different continents across the globe. A committed professional chef passionate about creating authentic Spanish dishes with an creative and special twist, Chef Juan is now at the helm of Casa De Tapas Dubai - one of Dubai’s longest standing Spanish venues at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.

Chef Juan's approach to leading his culinary team aligns with the laid back, ‘Mi casa es su casa’ vibe that Casa De Tapas Dubai is famous for! Exciting and flavourful creations that continue to pay respect to Spanish culinary traditions are on the menu under the direction of this chef.

Llaca became Chef de Cuisine at Vegamar Bodegas before moving across the globe to take charge of The Tapas Bar at J by Jose Andres in Mexico. The Chef de Cuisine returned to Europe where he took the culinary reigns at Quisitapas, Westin Excelsior in Florence. In 2017 he set his sights on the Middle East where he took command as Chef de Cuisine in both La Liga Lounge in Doha and Mercado Andaluz, St Regis in Amman, Jordan.

Expect great things from this talented cuisto in his role as the new Chef de Cuisine at Casa De Tapas, Dubai Creek Yacht Club. He is busy creating a new menu that will be launched after Ramadan with new dishes including huevos rotos con jamón Iberico (eggs served Spanish-style with 36-month aged Iberican ham), pulpo a la gallega (Galican-style octopus with confit potatoes and smoked paprika), or arroz de Senyoret (Spanish rice with prawns, cuttlefish, seabass and saffron).
